Thanks and a finish

I've calmed down since my Paradigm Lost fiasco of last week. Thank you so much for your encouraging comments! Have I mentioned lately how much I appreciate reading your comments, they really are so heartwarming and touching and bring a smile to my face, each and every one of them!

I'm going to take the advice of Sweet Pea, Tannia, Barbara, Kendra, Monique and Annemarie, and use the motif that I've finished in something else, and scrap the fabric for some other use. And as Old Yankee Stitcher (sorry, I don't know your name) said, I learned a new technique in tea-dying, so nothing is ever a total loss. I've taken the plunge and reordered a fat-half in 40 ct linen. I debated for a while over fabric counts for PL, but I really do like stitching on 40 ct linens, so I stuck with that. This time though I ordered a huge piece and I'm not cutting this baby down...just in case :-D I really don't think I want to restart it again.

So to soothe my ruffled feathers over the weekend, I calmed myself with some gentle stitching on 28 ct and finished off my JBW stocking:
There is a wee bit more to the design on the lower left hand side, it didn't all fit into the scanner!

And I dug out my CHS alphabet and finished up H is for Horse.

I'm glad you got yourself sorted out and set up to restart PL. I love your stocking. That fabric and thread is so pretty.

I'm so sorry for your PL fiasco...so you really don't think you're going to restart it?! I understand...because I had a similar thing once with a pattern I started and totally screwed up and that was it...I was done.
I love your stocking and your alphabets are lovely.

I'm definitely restarting, Vonna! I just meant, I'm leaving myself LOTS of fabric, because I don't want to restart a third time... :-D

I'm glad to see that you've gotten things worked out and it won't be long before you're rejoining the SAL. I felt so badly for you when I read about what happened. In the meantime you've done a lovely job on the stocking. I really have to add that to my wish list! Your alphabet looks good too.

Wow! Your stocking looks great! And great progress on the alphabet.I am sorry to hear of the miscounted fabric on PL, how annoying! What you had looked beautiful!!! You could probably make an ornament or something with it though. Good luck with your new start on PL

You've been quite busy on your stitching, even if it wasn't on PL. Both the stocking and your new block with letter H look great. Hopefully your new start on PL will go well and you won't have any more problems with it.
