Its coming along nicely and I should be finished with the pattern next week. Make sure you get your name in for the next drawing of this fabulous design. I'm collecting names and already have quite a few.
Last night I finished up Mindi's piece for the Quaker Friendship Round Robin. This is a great pattern for a round robin. The sections are not overly big and get finished fairly quickly. And I love, love, love Mindi's fabric and floss choices. They look great together. The fabric is Silkweaver Days Gone by 36 ct and the floss is by Vicki Clayton, Raisin Wine is the main colour and the accent is Old Maid of the Sail. Hmmm, the silk floss really likes to knot very easily though, has anyone else found that with VC silk?

Have a great day!
Both pieces look great Wendy!
ReplyDeleteYes, you spotted correctly, we have geraniums in our window boxes :) Plus some bacopa and bidens as trailing plants.
Ohhhh...I love your choices so far on the sisterhood pattern!
ReplyDeleteAnd I must agree with you Mindi's floss/fabric is exceptional!
Don't keep us in suspense too long... ;o)
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on Mindi's RR!
Off to a great start! And the RR is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh the suspence is killing me LOL Can't wait to see her dress.
ReplyDeleteThe RR is looking great. I would love to take part in a RR one of these days. The color choice is lovely.
Take Care and Happy Stitching

They both look great :) I wonder what colour the dress will be?! Could I put my name down for the draw for the chart please :)
ReplyDeletegreat work on both pieces. I can't wait to see what she is wearing:)
ReplyDeleteI nearly always use Thread Heaven on my VC silks. It makes a world of difference.
ReplyDeleteWonderful stitching progress!!
Oh you are a tease - can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteMindi's RR is fabulous - both fabric and floss look gorgeous. I found that VC silks knot easily too.
It's looking great, and sounds like you are flying through. I can't wait to see what your dress color is. If I didn't mention before, please include me in the drawing for this traveling pattern.
ReplyDeleteMindi's RR is looking lovely as well. I haven't used any of VC's silks so don't have any experience as to if they normally tend to knot up or not.

Mindi's RR looks gorgeous! And your right about her lovely fabric/floss colours too. Look forward to seeing more of the sisterhood pattern.
ReplyDeleteNice RR and good start on the traveling pattern! Can I put my name in twice for that? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm using VC on my CdC and have only had a few problems with knotting. I had more problems with WDW than the silks. With the silks I find that the knots will release easier.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your version of the sisterhood pattern :)
ReplyDeleteThere's a thread on Vicky Clayton's message board (you can get there from the website) about the knotting. She changed suppliers and is addressing the issue. Supposedly the new stuff also has less shine but more sheen but don't ask me what that means, lol.
