I've also slowly been working at LHN's Sampler Lady in the past month. I've just picked it up randomly and put in some stitching here and there when I don't feel like working on the smaller counts of fabric, which so many of my WIP's seem to be in these days. I think its a good idea for me to have these smaller projects on the go, so I can see some real progress being made on them. I've used a mixture of DMC and GAST threads on her and she has come along so nicely.

And we have yet more snow this morning, cleaning off the car this morning to take the kids to school was not fun because there was a layer of ice under the 10 cm of snow. The streets have yet been plowed so that meant I got stuck once I backed out of our driveway, which was a challenge, and another challenge when I got stuck again, trying to get onto the main road. Winter...enough already....yuck! Spring can't come soon enough for me!

WOW! You've just been stitching gangbusters of late! I love the RR finish...sweet! and fits right in ;)

I bought my chart for Love off the Papillon Creations website, too. Talk about instant gratification!! Are you going to stitch over one or over two on the 36 or 40ct?
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming addition to the neighborhood, Wendy!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe RR finish looks so very pretty. I'd live in that foresty neighborhood in a heartbeat. I also really like the LHN Sampler Lady. It is so true about mixing in some of these smaller projects to keep our motivation going strong.

Nice job on Carol's block in her neighborhood. How cool to be able to order a pattern that way. Look forward to your new start.
ReplyDeletePL is coming along nicely. Don't get discouraged. There are lots of little motifs to keep you stitching after you work your way through one of the big ones.
Carol's RR looks great! I LOVE having smaller proejcts on hand too! A great way to feel like you've accomplished something.
ReplyDeleteUgh, good luck with all that snow, Wendy! Sniff the fabric, I'm sure it will make you feel all warm inside :o) Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to have a project or two just for yourself? It really helped me to enjoy stitching more...
Your block on Carol's RR is lovely. I bet she will just love that forest-y feel!
This RR looks great. Your block is lovely ;)
ReplyDeleteYour square turned out great, and you're right it does have a foresty feeling when you look at it, a peaceful feeling. Sampler Lady is looking lovely too. I also like to have smaller ones to work on so that I can see quicker progress. Love will be so pretty, and the color you've selected sounds lovely. I'll look forward to watching that one grow.
