The spacing around the perimeter is very even. I'm struggling with my own finishing disaster right now. I'm not a sewer but I've signed up for lessons to begin in January.

I really enjoy your blog. You've accomplished an amazing amount of beautiful stitching.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23617786.post-6761716670395478662006-12-14T12:09:00.000-05:002006-12-14T12:09:00.000-05:00It's a sweet ornie, nonetheless! And, since it is so big, I would hang it on a doorknob, maybe.Mary Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18066700021192857398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23617786.post-81397154522009576032006-12-14T09:03:00.000-05:002006-12-14T09:03:00.000-05:00What a beautiful ornament. What a beautiful ornament.Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10686789884542641389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23617786.post-17189106881308908892006-12-14T07:05:00.000-05:002006-12-14T07:05:00.000-05:00Poor little ornie indeed! As for re-finishing it (oh heavens, RE-finishing something, isn't that a horrible fate?) my first thought was the same as Vonna's and Cindy's! Good luck with it!Annemariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12461191248378770978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23617786.post-21646589241465908342006-12-13T19:43:00.000-05:002006-12-13T19:43:00.000-05:00It's very cute, though! I was going to suggest what Vonna said...do a backstitch frame a few threads beyond the stitching, then fray the ends and put it on top of a pillow. I have done that before, and it turns out cute :)Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08290013332209441647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23617786.post-68511527945187341172006-12-13T17:40:00.000-05:002006-12-13T17:40:00.000-05:00Your doggy is very cute. I think your stitching looks wonderful on it! If there isn't enough to fabric...you could always make a pillow and fray the ends then stitch it on top of the pillow with the ends frayed.
Good Luck...it's too pretty to toss!Vonna Pfeifferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16483344299817504410noreply@blogger.com
