Sunflower House and a small finish

Thank you all for your wonderful comments on the Love Sampler! Its so heartwarming to read what everyone has said. I was so anxious to put my last few stitches on this - I just don't do well with deadlines. We are off to the framer's later today to pick out a frame and get that organized, as well as few other small pieces that have been waiting to be framed and displayed.

Sunflower House update - but I'm not happy with how the colours look in the pictures! Really they are much nicer than how they look here. Yuko has put me to shame with how quickly she is getting through this one! I think she's going leave me far behind and finish ahead of me.

And another little finish - this is Bine's Neighbourhood RR. I love the set-up she chose, with a long row of houses. And doesn't it look sweet!

Lovely stitching!!!
What a great idea for a round robin! I haven't done a RR for years...I was on a real kick doing them for a while.
Anyway, have a great day up there in Ontario....it's another cloudy one here...but hot!

I love the quilts you have hanging at your house in Bine's neighborhood. I hope to have my house in your neighborhood built this weekend.

Great progress on sunflower house.

Hi Wendy!
Don't worry! I won't leave you, I have so many pieces to stitch, so from next time I have not so much time for this Sunflower House!
But this is very fun design, isn't this!
I love yours, the thread colours turned out very beautifully on the dark blue linen!

Bine's RR is really unique. I love the house you chose to stitch.
Your sunflower house is coming along nicely. I know the colours don't always appear quite the same on camera but I think it looks great.

Sunflower House is looking gorgeous Wendy, I love the colour of the fabric.

Bine's RR is wonderful, such a great idea to have a row of houses! I think I might have to pinch that idea for myself someday!

The yellow really pops out on the blue. Very nice Wendy :o)

That RR is just adorable! I have never seen one done like that. I see you chose the house from the Quilt Time Sampler :o) I'd love to do an RR but I'm so scared I'd never see my piece again.

Getting a good shot of our stitching is such a challenge! You did fine, altho I'm sure it's even better irl. Love how the golden tones glow on the blue background.

On my blog today I awarded you the Brillante Weblog award. Hugs!

I love your Sunflower House, the linen you're stitching it on is perfect.

I like the way Bine set up her RR too. The row of houses looks awesome.

Your "Love" finish is just stunning. Congrats ;)

I really like the RR - that is a great way of lining up the houses. And your house is perfect :)

Sunflower House is looking good - it's nice to have SAL to keep the motivation up (even if Yuko is a bit ahead of you!)

Hi Wendy,

Firstly, congratulations on
finishing Love. It looks simply
amazing!! Good for you, to get
it finished well before the
deadline. Your daughter is
going to be thrilled with this.
I can't wait to see pictures of
it framed.

I don't think photo's do any
stitching projects full justice.
But at least we get a good idea
of how great your Sunflower
House piece is turning out. I
do love the way the threads
stand out on the blue fabric.

And Bine's Neighbourhood RR
has turned out beautifully.
It's quite a unique layout,
with all the houses in a row.
Like a long street view. I
really like the house you
stitched, with the quilts
hanging out on the line.

So are you going to start
rummaging through your
stash to choose another
new start?? Have fun!

Cheers!

Beautiful stitching on the Sunflower House!

And that Round Robin is to die for! That is how I plan to do my Neighborhood RR if I ever do one! It looks like a cozy little street!
