Family Time

Sorry, no stitching pics to show. It was family time the past few days. My daughter Kelly surprised me by flying into Toronto for a few days. We had a wonderful time, lots of shopping and the weather graced us with gorgeous spring days...actually even a little too hot!

Here are some pictures from Sunday when we enjoyed a wonderful long walk along Lake Ontario. Below are Nick and J-F with Kelsey.

And here is Kelly, me and Nick together. Hubby had gone to the cottage for the morning to start the huge amount of ground work that needs to be done every year. Carrie was off to visit her bridesmaid, who also was in for the weekend from North Carolina. And Kristy was out of town with friends for the weekend.
And Miss Diva, reclining in the car after her long walk.

The time went by too quickly and Kelly is already back home in North Carolina this morning. I'm back to work and today I start at Curves, which as you can see in my picture above, is much much needed! Why doesn't stitching burn more calories?

Wendy, I love the water photos...so relaxing! I'll have some water once this snow melts! Somehow, it's just not the same, is it?

Nice family photos there. Love the picture of Miss Diva. I know who rules the roost at your house. I wish I could lose weight stitching too then I wouldn't have to go to Weight Watchers

What a lovely surprise! Glad you both had such a great time and the weather cooperated too.
I'm using a program similar to Curves called Changes for Women. Same sort of circuit. It works when I manage to go!!!

Just for the record, you do NOT look like you need to go to a gym!

So glad you were able to enjoy some wonderful family time. :D

Hi Wendy,

Hasn't the weather been just the bee's knees!! I'd take this sort of weather pretty much all summer if it were allowed. And what a lovely surprise to be able to share it with your daughter too. I'm glad you had such a nice visit together.

Love your bookmarks. Very Spring like, and quite dainty little designs. I guess backstitching can be tedious, but seeing those blobs of colour come together and suddenly turn into a flower or whatever is kind of neat.

And Miss Diva is a cutie. We do tend to spoil our pets, don't we?
Ah well, they're worth it.

Congrats on winning Monique's draw and getting all that lovely stash from her. What a thrill it must have been when you realized that you'd won her draw.

So, when's your first trip to the cottage going to be??? Is it a long drive???

Cheers!!!
